Having graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts, I have been lucky enough to work in places that allow me to be creative while earning a living.
Early on I poured the molds for 'Legacy Dolls', also learning the skills of sculpting, mold making and porcelain doll face painting. I have since been employed at 'Rubber Stamps by Montarga', here I have had the opportunity to teach, illustrate and create sample for the store.
On my days off I create for myself. Sculpting using a variety of different mediums and techniques, including Leather, Glass, Fiber, and Metal. I am happiest when mastering a new skill to apply to my artwork.
During 2007 - 2010 I co-ran a successful gallery in 'Waikuku' where my sculptures was sold, up until the Christchurch earthquakes.
I have spent the first part of 2015 creating a costume for the 'World of Wearable Arts' and have been selected to be onstage. My costume is created from Leather that I hand tooled, carved airbrushed and hand stitched.
